Dr. Pamela Kirkwood
I wish my parents had known about Chiropractic.
I wish my parents had known about chiropractic when I was a child and perhaps I would have avoided back surgery.
I have chosen to devote my life to the healing arts because I wanted to make a difference. Since having back braces and surgery for scoliosis as a teenager, I wanted to give people more effective options than what I had at that time in my life.
As a lifelong learner and teacher, I knew that my education was only the beginning when I graduated from Chiropractic College in 1986. Since that time, I have become the first person in California to become Board Certified in the treatment of Scoliosis. I also hold a Fellowship in Spinal Biomechanics. Many additional training courses have given me a unique perspective and specialized training in my field to care for people of all ages. I have numerous awards and certificates, however, what gives me the most joy is seeing how our care helped restore a persons life again.
I believe in the principles of alternative healing which states that the body is a self healing, self regulating organism. I believe that health comes from above down and inside out. The master control system is the nervous system. Any interference within that system is bad. Reducing or eliminating the interference is good. We all recognize that a body that has less interference runs better than a body that has more interference. We are all under stress (physical, chemical and emotional). Chiropractic allows for greater adaptation to those stresses in life by removing interferences to the nervous system so that a body that has a greater ability to adapt to its environment. This adaptation allows for a greater potential for excellent health and expression on every level.
I am a lucky lady.
I am a personal walking, living miracle as a result of living the chiropractic lifestyle for many years. (Ask me if you’re interested.) I get adjusted regularly. My children grew up with regular chiropractic care and have never experienced a single ear infection. Our philosophy is chiropractic and prevention first, medicine second and surgery last. it is truly my pleasure to be your family’s chiropractor of choice.
